About Us

SHEA provides culturally appropriate sexual health promotion services to black and minority ethnic (BME) groups in Farnborough, Aldershot, Andover, Basingstoke, Winchester and nearby areas. Click here to see a map or our area.

These services include:

  • supporting individuals and families by providing access to advice on employment, benefits, immigration etc.
  • providing HIV prevention, sexual health information and resources
  • encouraging community organisations and supporting BME organisations
  • referrals to other services.

SHEA aims to:

  • ensure that the specific concerns of the black and minority ethnic communities (BME) are addressed
  • ensure that service providers are aware of the cultures of BME groups so appropriate services can be provided
  • encourage active involvement of BME communities in sexual health and other service provision.
